Who We Are
Dr Gaj Panagoda works closely with allied health therapists and families to achieve meaningful goals. We assist children and young adults with limitations of their physical ability.
Dr Gaj Panagoda is a paediatric rehabilitation physician and general paediatrician. He founded Superkid Rehab in 2017 to create a community-based model for paediatric rehabilitation medicine. He is also the CEO of Xstitch Health, a not-for-profit company that takes a systems approach to improving health management in the social, community and charity sector. He has served on the Board of the Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand, including as Vice President.
Dr Gaj was previously the Lead Paediatrician at the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health, where the team provided paediatric medical services across 20 Aboriginal health clinics. He worked at Queensland Health for 10 years, and was a Senior Medical Officer at Queensland Children’s Hospital. His practical and collaborative approach to rehabilitation plans is reinforced by his previous work as a physiotherapist and allied health assistant.
Having grown up in rural New South Wales and worked in remote Western Australia, Dr Gaj has first hand experience of the complex issues faced by those outside metropolitan areas. He is passionate about working with rural communities. His wife and two children happily take up most of his spare time.
